(DON’T) SPEAK: A creative call to STOP gender-based violence

Are you a visual artist, photographer, digital creator, content creator, storyteller or simply an artistic soul and want to be part of a project that will make a difference? We are issuing an open call for participation in the "SPEAK" campaign, part of the international project "EQUAL – Together we stand for Gender Equality". The project will take part in the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence (25/11 – 10/12), the annual global campaign of the United Nations (UN women).

Who can participate:

  • Visual artists & designers: We are looking for creative and bold ideas that speak about equality and empowerment and raise awareness about gender-based violence (GBV).

  • Photographers: We are looking for powerful images that tell stories of empowerment, inclusion, and speak about different forms of GBV.

  • Independent & digital creatives: We want you to share your own stories and contribute to a collective culture of zero tolerance towards GBV and sexism through posts/reels and/or live discussions on GBV.

Our topic: DON’T  SPEAK!

Equality, Empowerment and Zero tolerance towards GBV

Creators are invited through their works to highlight the issue of GBV in contemporary ways and means. To break the silence, to raise questions and to highlight different aspects of the phenomenon, known or unknown to the general public.

Projects should reflect the key message of the SPEAK campaign: everyone deserves to live free of violence, sexism, and discrimination. We can all do it, TOGETHER.
