DROPS Skin Guardian

From A to Y: how we envisioned, designed, researched, developed, branded, and marketed our very own skin care product.

Why not A to Z? Well, the last chapter hasn’t been written yet.

Do not self-care.

Explore.

Cause all you have is now.

Our inspiration for the brand’s philosophy—and its maiden product line—was drawn from the timeless elegance of Cycladic figurines. While we often associate these ancient sculptures with minimalist beauty, history tells a different story: they were originally painted with vivid colors and intricate designs, a stark contrast to their current appearance. Over time, these colors faded, leaving behind a universal, archetypal simplicity that continues to captivate the world.

In a similar vein, skincare has evolved. It was once a complicated process, involving multiple products applied in precise sequences—a chore more than a pleasure. Through innovation, continuous R&D, and our belief in skin minimalism, we created a single functional formulation that condenses the entire daily skincare routine into one product, used only twice a day. This modern archetype of simplicity is designed to protect against the challenges of contemporary living:

  • Blue light exposure

  • Indoor and outdoor pollution

  • Environmental skin aging

Skin is Skin

Our commitment to sincerity in marketing led us to reject traditional gendered approaches to skincare. As no scientific evidence supports the need for separate products for men and women, we promote our line as completely gender-free—because skin is skin.

Design & Aesthetics

The product design embodies a fusion of ancient and modern minimalist aesthetics, featuring bold, neon colors influenced by urban life. This juxtaposition reflects the unifying principles of our formulation: timeless simplicity for modern complexity.

The Campaign

Our marketing campaign integrates the product seamlessly into an iconic Cycladic backdrop. Each image showcases a scene that could have been captured yesterday, a decade ago, or even a century ago—highlighting the timeless beauty of Cycladic design and the simplicity it represents.

There is beauty in simplicity. So, there can be simplicity in beauty.
